Read device information, verify the firmware hash, monitor MIDI, and check the patch state before or after an update.

BLE info works in normal mode. DFU info requires update mode.

Firmware verification

Put the controller in update mode, then read the full 256 KB image and compare it with the known stock, jog-only, and jog + pitch hashes.

MIDI monitor

Connect over USB MIDI, then move a control. The monitor shows the raw message, a rate estimate, and the known ring/top/pitch counters.

Safe update workflow

      
A custom A/B bootloader is not practical in 256 KB of flash. Instead,
        use this verified workflow:

      
    
        
  1. Read and download the firmware backup.
    2. 
        
  2. Verify the stock, jog-only, or jog + pitch hash.
    3. 
        
  3. Apply the desired patch through the fix page.
    4. 
        
  4. Re-enter update mode and use the verification section above to
          confirm the readback hash.
    5. 
        
  5. If anything is wrong, restore the stock image.
    6.
